Remember how I was reliving my recent trip to Costa Rica? I believe I mentioned how dang humid it was there! Costa Rica experiences part of their green season during the month of October, which is when we traveled there. Green season means it rains every day. Every. Single. Day. It wasn't a problem for us because it only rained in the evening into the night.
Due to the high humidity and warmer weather in Costa Rica, immediately when I arrived back to the States my body nearly jumped out of my skin. It was like a grasshopper emerging from their exoskeleton. Gross, I know! Go here if you would like a visual. It has been exactly three weeks since A and I arrived back in the States and I still can't get control over my skin. I am ashy, scaly, itchy, and a whole bunch of other cringe-worthy words.
Since receiving a beautiful little package from Influenster, I have taken the #Vaseline 5 Day Challenge. I don't really know if that's a thing, but I completed it. I have regularly used Vaseline in the past because most of them smell really good and they don't leave my skin feeling tacky. In other words, I am able to put my jeans on right after applying lotion. Know what I'm talking about?
After using the Vaseline® Intensive Care™ Advanced Repair lotion for 5 straight days, I finally have a verdict. My skin is not magically healed... Who would've thought?! My skin really only stayed moisturized until midday, but that't better than other lotions. Ahem, Bath and Body Works. I will keep it in my lineup of other lotions and creams I use.
How do you stay moisturized in the winter?
I received the product mentioned above for free using Influenster. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
