Online Dating

Is something I have never done. Thank goodness for that. I am telling you, I feel terrible for anyone leaving college without finding that significant other. Not because that is the right thing to do but it is really hard to find someone once you get your first real big girl/boy job.

A lot of my friends are single. Well the few handful of real life friends that I have are single. Most of those said friends have tried meeting people through online dating. I would be freaking terrified to meet someone from online which seems weird because I feel like I am best friends with a lot of you yet we have never met in person. I don't know, I guess the internet is a weird, weird place.

Back to online dating. We all know how many stories can be told through the internet. I could just imagine browsing through photos looking for this...
But in reality finding some sex offender like this...
found here
Creepy! I feel terrible for all you single folks out there trying to find your lover. You always have access to the National Sex Offender Registry for some research too. I have been using the registry a lot the last few days for a project and can I just say how awful each one of those pictures are. It is pretty intense.

On another note, you should go take a look at the registry and check out your neighborhood. You might be surprised what you find. I always browse through the Sex Offender list before we move to a new location. I like to be well aware of my surroundings.

Do you frequently check the National Sex Offender list?
Have you ever looked at the registry?
